ejecuci\u00f3n financiera y presupuestaria municipal;<\/p><p class=\"justify-text\">3) Representar al alcalde los actos municipales que estime ilegales, informando de ello al concejo, para cuyo objeto Dicha representaci\u00f3n deber\u00e1 efectuarse dentro de los diez d\u00edas siguientes a aquel en que la unidad de control haya tomado conocimiento de los actos. Si el alcalde no tomare medidas administrativas con el objeto de enmendar el acto representado, la unidad de control deber\u00e1 remitir dicha informaci\u00f3n a la Contralor\u00eda General de la Rep\u00fablica;<\/p><p class=\"justify-text\">4) Colaborar directamente con el concejo para el ejercicio de sus funciones fiscalizadoras. Para estos efectos, emitir\u00e1 un informe trimestral acerca del estado de avance del ejercicio program\u00e1tico presupuestario; asimismo, deber\u00e1 informar, tambi\u00e9n trimestralmente, sobre el estado de cumplimiento de los pagos por concepto de cotizaciones provisionales de los funcionarios municipales y de los trabajadores que se desempe\u00f1an en servicios incorporados a la gesti\u00f3n municipal, administrados directamente por la municipalidad o a trav\u00e9s de corporaciones municipales, de los aportes que la municipalidad debe efectuar al Fondo Com\u00fan Municipal, y del estado de cumplimiento de los pagos por concepto de asignaciones de perfeccionamiento docente<\/p><p class=\"justify-text\">5) Asesorar al concejo en la definici\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n de la auditor\u00eda externa que aqu\u00e9l puede requerir en virtud de esta ley.<\/p><p class=\"justify-text\">6) Realizar, con la periodicidad que determine el reglamento se\u00f1alado en el art\u00edculo 92, una presentaci\u00f3n en sesi\u00f3n de comisi\u00f3n del concejo, destinada a que sus miembros puedan formular consultas referidas al cumplimiento de las funciones que le competen.<\/p><p class=\"justify-text\">La jefatura de esta unidad se proveer\u00e1 mediante concurso de oposici\u00f3n y antecedentes y no podr\u00e1 estar vacante por m\u00e1s de seis meses consecutivos. Las bases del concurso y el nombramiento del funcionario que desempe\u00f1e esta jefatura requerir\u00e1n de la aprobaci\u00f3n del concejo. A dicho cargo podr\u00e1n postular personas que est\u00e9n en posesi\u00f3n de un t\u00edtulo profesional o t\u00e9cnico acorde con la funci\u00f3n. El jefe de esta unidad s\u00f3lo podr\u00e1 ser removido en virtud de las causales de cese de funciones aplicables a los funcionarios municipales, previa instrucci\u00f3n del respectivo sumario.
